The Sandy Historical Society Office is curretly housed at 39345 Pioneer. Contact us via email at sandyhistorical@sandynet.org or by phone (503) 668-3378.
Our Historical Museum & Visitor's Center has been completed and will become our home. The building is located across the street from Sandy's City Hall. The museum's location borders the exact site of the famous Barlow Road, which was the last leg of the Oregon Trail that brought thousands of pioneers in covered wagons over the Cascade Mountains to western Oregon from the mid 1840s until the 1870s. The museum will be a repository for history from this area, something that Sandy Historical Society has wanted for many years. It will also be a much needed home for the society.
The museum will give Sandy a destination attraction that will draw visitors as well as the many tourists and travelers on busy U.S. Highway 26.
In the mean time share our heritage through this site. Visit our Photo Gallery and History Section, keep abreast of the museum project's progress, and check our calendar of events.
